How To Post Pictures
This site is good for sharing a few photos. The software is based on an article directory script rather than a gallery script so posting a few pictures is relatively quick and easy. You do need to register for an account by clicking on the register link in the left nav column. I have no set limit on the number of pictures you can post on a page, but I would suggest that you post pictures on one subject or theme on one page. You can always set up another page.
The maximum size for an image is 700px wide and 100Kb file size. Most landscape oriented images should be fine with the file size. There could be a problem with some portrait oriented images exceeding the maximum file size, but many will be fine. You should use a photo editor to size your images before you upload if, as with most digital cameras, the deminsions are over 700px wide. If you don't have a photo editor software I recommend Irfanview for Windows users.
To post images just click on the 'Add Pictures' link in the nav column. This will bring up the 'Write Article' editor as seen in the image below. Type a title for your page in the title box and select a category from the drop down list in the category box. Then you can upload and post your pictures in the main box of the editor. You can put descriptive text above or below (or both) your pictures.If you have a website or would like to tell a bit about yourself or the event you can post a link in the 'about author' box below the main content box. I would prefer not to have links posted in the main content box.
As far as content is concerned, this is not a place to post pornographic content although some casual nudity would probably slip by. The site is set up so that I manually approve at least first time posts. If there is a problem I may contact you. I will try to approve all posts in a timely fashion.
To upload your images click on the text link 'Add Image' just above the left top of the editor. Follow the wizard to upload your images. This will bring up the Wizard screen:
Just navigate to where you have the image on your computer using the browse button, and when you have found the image hit the upload button. You will then be presented with this screen:
When you see this screen just click on the Add to Post button, and your image will appear in the editor. It may be positioned all the way to the left, but when published the images will be centered in the content window. I have also set up a small black border around the images to set them off.
If you want some text before the image just type it in as you wish and hit enter at the end before clicking the 'Add Image link. If you want text under an image hit the enter key after the image appears in the editor for text below the image. To keep things balanced and simple I have set the software up to center your images. With this set-up text can be above or below the images, but not beside the image.
